Background
Avana operates a large-scale medical distribution network across India, connecting super-admins, regional distributors, and mobile application specialists. Each layer of the hierarchy plays a critical role in ensuring product demos, order placements, and customer engagement are handled effectively.
To streamline these operations, Avana sought a centralized CRM solution that would enable real-time tracking and role-specific data access. However, a main concern from the start was to ensure the platform worked smoothly on mobile devices, as most field agents rely on their phones to manage daily activities. A poor mobile experience would directly impact sales productivity.
Objective
The goal was to build a centralized and role-sensitive portal that could handle the complex distribution and sales workflows of Avana.
Develop a centralized and role-based CRM portal to unify Avana’s nationwide sales operations.
Ensure real-time visibility into sales performance across all hierarchy levels, super admins, managers, distributors, and application specialists.
Enable role-specific access, ensuring users see and manage only data relevant to their responsibilities.
Support creation and tracking of sales orders, customer visits, and product demo activities.
Ensure all tables and reports are mobile friendly for easy access and usability on the field.
Provide structured and actionable reporting tools for decision-makers at all levels.
Solution
Cogntix worked closely with the Avana team to design and develop a robust and mobile friendly portal tailored to their multi-level sales and distribution structure. The portal’s design began with a comprehensive understanding of the workflows involved from how distributors receive and handle product orders, to how application specialists conduct sales visits and log demo outcomes. The interface was carefully designed to look consistent across all roles, while adapting data access and actions based on user permissions.
The platform also featured detailed reports across multiple dimensions of sales, products, visits, doctors, and demo conversions enabling Avana to monitor trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions. Role-specific access control ensured that each user type could perform relevant actions without overstepping operational boundaries.
